A DEBILITATING ILLNESS
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has produced this useful fact sheet on how to recognise the virus, where it occurs, and what people can do to prevent becoming infected. The online edition of The Scientist magazine ran an interesting piece in 2007 on the search for a vaccine. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has a section on chikungunya that contains news stories, blogs, links and further information on the virus.
