GOVERNMENT STRUGGLES TO ESTABLISH SECURITY
In the Somalia section of the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs website, you can find out what's happening with aid on the ground, the latest security situation and who's doing what where. The World Health Organisation Somalia site has information about which NGOs are working in Somalia and what the WHO is doing there. For more information on health, read the WHO 2007 Somalia report. Aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres has a section on Somalia with vivid accounts of what life is like for health workers in Somalia. The most recent are under 'Latest Info'. The Food Security Analysis Unit-Somalia has detailed information about the country's food crisis. Refugees International has some useful reports on Somalia.
