PLEASE BEWARE THAT www.ahagency.org or www.ahatogo.org (Africa Humanitarian Agency) IS A FAKE WEBSITE MIMICING OURS THAT ATTEMPTS TO FRAUDULENTLY ACQUIRE SENSITIVE FINANCIAL DETAILS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES. WE ARE ALSO INFORMED THAT AT LEAST ONE UNAUTHORIZED "AHA" BANK ACCOUNT EXISTS FROM WHICH BAD "AHA CHECKS" ORIGINATING IN CHAD HAVE BEEN PASSED ON TO INDIVIDUALS.

Christine Machina (35) came to the Osire Refugee Camp from Uganda in 2005. Today, she is the bread-winner of her family by selling fresh fish and other products. As one of the 30 refugee women who received AHA’s training on Income-Generating Activities (IGAs) on January 2007, Christine now leads a refugee women IGAs group called Women Refugee Action for Peace and Development (WRAPD).

AHA Rwanda, New Hope for People with HIV

Kiziba refugee camp, located in the western Province of Rwanda, is home to nearly 18,000 Congolese refugees that have fled violence from the rebel and militia fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Africa Humanitarian Action (AHA), as an implementing partner to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) actively engaged on care and treatment of HIV/AIDS in the camp. Kiziba camp is one of the three refugee camps in Rwanda that receive comprehensive HIV and AIDS health care services through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

A refugee’s story from Burundi

Burundian refugeeFébronie Bigirabavukanyi is 80 years old. A Rwandese refugee, she came to Burundi with the first wave of asylum seekers who crossed the border in 2005 fleeing from persecution as a result of the Gaccacca rulings (traditional tribunal system).
