AIDfund triggered for Haiti/Dominican Republic floods
27 May 2004
AIDfund grants of up to $30,000 are available to AlertNet members who are active in the affected areas of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Successful applicants will need to provide details of a specific project the grant would finance and commit to reporting back on the results of their efforts.

How to apply

The grants are available only to AlertNet members. If you would like to join the AlertNet community to take advantage of access to future AIDfund grants and a range of other member benefits then go to our member application form. Existing members should fill in the AIDfund application form which can only be accessed once you have logged in using your unique member password. If you have lost your password apply for a replacement, if you do not have one yet use our self-registration form.

We will only consider applications which are complete so please fill in all the fields on the form. For an idea of the sorts of projects the Reuters Foundation has previously financed visit AIDfund's project page.

How we process the applications

The deadline for applications is 1400 GMT on Friday, May 28. We have alerted the AIDfund advisory committee, which is made up of senior staff from AlertNet members, and we will pass to them applications that meet the criteria. They will assess each one and decide on those that best meet AIDfund's aims. Successful applicants will be notified by Tuesday, June 1 and the grants will be distributed as soon as possible.
