AlertNet offers AIDfund for B'desh cyclone relief

LONDON (AlertNet) - AlertNet invites relief agencies to apply for money from Reuters Foundation's AIDfund for work in response to Bangladesh's deadliest cyclone in 16 years.

Cyclone Sidr, which struck Bangladesh on Nov. 15, killed around 3,500 people and left thousands injured or missing. Another 2 million have been displaced.

AIDfund provides rapid funding to charities and relief organisations around the world in times of disaster.

The funding is only available to AlertNet's member NGOs. Click here to check if your organisation is an AlertNet member.

The deadline for applications is Nov. 27, 1700 GMT.
