Track and windspeed of Typhoon Kai-tak

Typhoon Kai-tak struck Vietnam as a tropical storm at about 06:00 GMT on 2 November. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 18.9 N, 105.8 E. Kai-tak brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 83 km/hr (51 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
