Typhoon Neoguri struck China as a tropical storm at about 06:00 GMT on 19 April. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 21.7 N, 112.1 E. Neoguri brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 83 km/h (51 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
