Track and windspeed of Intense hurricane Gustav

Intense hurricane Gustav struck the United States as a tropical storm at about 03:00 GMT on 2 September. Data supplied by the US National Hurricane Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 31.1 N, 92.7 W. Gustav brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 92 km/h (57 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
