Track and windspeed of Intense hurricane Ike

Intense hurricane Ike struck the United States as a tropical storm at about 03:00 GMT on 14 September. Data supplied by the US National Hurricane Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 34.3 N, 93.9 W. Ike brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 64 km/h (40 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
