Standing flood waters were detected with MODIS Terra & Aqua satellite imagery acquired on 5 May 2008 at a spatial resolution of 250m. Villages within the flood zone were identified and tabulated for the township of Labutta. Villages and built-up settlement areas within the flood zone were identified and tabulated for the township of Twantay. An estimated 234 villages within Twantay Township are likely submerged or severely flooded.
