The cumulative number of people affected by rains and floods in Southern Africa since October 2007, including those affected by Tropical Cyclone Ivan and Fame in Madagascar, has reached 844,735.


More rains are expected in Angola, southern Malawi, across much of central and northern Mozambique, and in areas already affected by tropical cyclones Fame and Ivan in northern Madagascar and possibly also northern Mozambique.
