1:100,000 topographical maps of Burma produced using GIS layers captured before Cyclone Nargis affected the Ayeyarwady Delta. GIS 
layers mapped at 1:50,000 scale include settlements, major roads, rivers, relief and administrative boundaries. The GIS layer mapping was carried out at the end of 2007 to assist in future Disaster 
Management.
