Christian Internet Service Provider Surefish is launching the Great Hymn Sing inviting people across the UK to vote for their top ten favourite hymns which will be sung by festival goers at this year's Greenbelt festival on 26 August.

Visitors to www.surefish.co.uk/greatbighymnsing can vote for their top ten hymns from a list of 114. The Surefish team simply couldn't narrow down the selection to 100, which is why there are 114 to choose from. The 50 hymns with the most votes will go through to the next round of voting which will reduce the list to 25. The final round of voting will decide the favourite top ten hymns.

These will be announced and sung at Greenbelt on Sunday 26 August at 2.30pm at The Arena. The Love and Joy Choir will be on hand to help as will some special guests who will talk about what singing means to them.

For those who aren't going to Greenbelt, the top 10 list will be published on Surefish on August 26.

Surefish editor Andy Jackson said: "There's nothing like a really good hymnsing - hundreds, even thousands, of people, singing classical, traditional hymns. That is why Surefish is organising the Great Big Hymn Sing at this year's Greenbelt festival, to give those who like singing the chance to vote for and then sing their favourite hymns."

Surefish has also recently launched a new range of broadband internet services to raise money for Christian Aid's work in developing countries and to help it continue the fight against global poverty.

Surefish has raised more than £500,000 for Christian Aid in the past six years. It now wants to raise this amount every year. With around 12 million people using broadband in the UK the ISP, which is owned and operated by Christian Aid's trading arm, hopes to achieve this by encouraging thousands of broadband users to switch to Surefish.

Switching is free if you already use broadband and unlike most other providers, Surefish users don't have to commit to a twelve-month contract. The new services include fast Internet access via broadband from £22.50 a month - around 25 per cent of which goes to Christian Aid - and a free email address and web-space to publish personal websites.
