ADRA Canada Appoints New Executive Director

ADRA Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Kuhn as Executive Director for the agency. The Board of Directors made the announcement at a Special General Meeting of the
constituency on 4 March 2008.
Kuhn has twenty years of leadership and management experience in international development
in Africa, Asia and South America. He has managed and administered multi-million dollar operations in both sustainable development and emergency relief including the 2004 Asian tsunami. With extensive experience in human resource management, strategic planning,logistics operations, governance and government relations, it is
expected that Kuhn will be able to provide quality leadership to ADRA Canada.
"We are very pleased that Ronald Kuhn has accepted our invitation to serve as Executive Director," stated Dan Jackson, ADRA Canada Board Chair. "We believe that his leadership abilities, human resource skills and extensive experience with international development will provide foundational strengths for ADRA Canada both now and in the future."
Holding a Master of Science in Administration (International Development) from Andrews University, Michigan, USA, as well as a
Bachelor of Arts from his native Brazil, Kuhn brings both theoretical and practical experience to his work. Fluent in English, Spanish and
Portuguese, and with a good knowledge of French and Italian, Kuhn's communications skills will be a definite asset both in Canada and internationally.
Kuhn's last appointment was as Regional Director for the Asia Regional Office for ADRA in Bangkok, Thailand where he was responsible for management and technical support to sixteen ADRA Country Offices in Asia. He has also served as the Regional Director for the ADRA South America Regional Office, in Brasilia, Brazil; and
held the Executive Director position in ADRA Peru, ADRA Bolivia,ADRA Sudan, ADRA Somalia, and ADRA Angola. He also served as a Project Director in Mozambique.
Kuhn is expected to take up his duties full-time at the ADRA Canada national office in Oshawa, Ontario, in June.
