Silver Spring, Maryland--The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is working with local partner organizations to assess and respond to the needs of survivors of wildfires currently raging through seven California counties, from Santa Barbara south to San Diego.
Since Sunday, more than 16 fires have charred approximately 640 square miles, destroying more than 1,300 homes, and forcing the evacuation of almost 1,000,000 residents in fire-threatened neighborhoods throughout southern California.

Updates will be released as ADRA's response efforts expand.
