Christiane Augsburger elected to ICRC

Geneva (ICRC) - At its meeting of 22 February, the Assembly of the International Committee of the Red Cross elected a new
member. Ms Christiane Augsburger will take up her duties on 1 April.
Ms Augsburger has a degree in nursing-school management from the École supérieure d'enseignement infirmier in the Swiss city of Lausanne.
She also has a master's degree in health-care management from Webster University in Geneva.
From 1988 to 2005 Ms Augsburger was in charge of the Ecole La Source, the school of nursing run by the Swiss Red Cross in the French-speaking part of the country.
Ms Augsburger's election brings to 18 the number of members of the International Committee.
