WER is shipping hospital equipment and medical supplies to Iraq for immediate distribution to medical facilities as the crisis within the country continues.
This latest WER shipment to Iraq includes hospital beds and furniture which were donated to Scottish charity Glasgow the Caring City by a local Glasgow hospital. The goods will be distributed to hospitals and clinics across Iraq through WER's partner agency in Mosul, International Relief and Development (IRD).
Since November 2006, WER has shipped more than 100 tons of humanitarian aid to the Middle East region in response to the needs of people affected by the ongoing violence and instability in Iraq. In addition to this latest shipment to Mosul, WER is continuing to work closely with partner organisations in Jordan to deliver humanitarian aid to Iraqi refugee families, as well as Jordanian families who are suffering similar levels of hardship due to the current economic climate in Jordan.
To make a donation to help WER rush further humanitarian supplies to children and their families caught in the Iraq crisis, please visit www.wer-uk.org or call WER today on 0870 429 2129. Thank you.
