In the Southern part of Ethiopia the patoralist group Guji Oromos experience how the climate has changed and how it has brought drought and hunger to their area.
Access to water for their animals has decreased and so has the access to grazing land, which results in conflicts with the neighbouring clan.
Climate change, which results in floods, unpredictable rain, drought, and hunger, occurs in many African countries today. Traditional pastoralists are among the worst hit.
The pastoralists depend on the welfare of their animals, which means adequate access to water and fertile grazing land.
Meet the local vet, the traditional leader, and other residents from the small village Chame Kura and see how DanChurchAid with funding from the Humanitarian Aid Department of the European Commission is helping the pastoralist people in Ethiopia to cope with their situation.
