EFICOR
EFICOR in partnership with partner Orissa Follow-Up provided relief to flood affected people in Balasore District of Orissa. Heavy rains last July flooded 500 villages in 6 blocks of Balasore.

After the need assessment EFICOR prepared to distribute relief kits to 1000 people. The relief kits were packed by volunteers from Orissa Follow up and flood affected villages consisting of rice, dal, groceries, salt, mat, utensils and mosquito nets.

EFICOR with partner Orissa Follow up distributed relief kits in three blocks -Basta, Jaleswar and Baliapal covering 21 villages of seven gram panchayats in the presence of Government officers - Emergency Relief officer and Tehsildar.

Orissa Follow up and EFICOR were part of the State Disaster Co-ordination Committee attending all the meetings and networked with other government departments.

When distributing the relief materials, EFICOR took special note of the poor and vulnerable groups such as the elderly, physically challenged and people suffering from Leprosy.
