The completed water supply systems, all of which are solar powered will benefit 6,423 people, were handed over to the zoba Debub and sub zobas Mai Mne and Areza Administrations on 23 February 2008.

Pending the completion of their permanent houses, LWF provided 1,700 pieces of family tents to relocated families for temporary shelters. The tents will be distributed by the zoba Debub Administration.

LWF plans to assist the zoba Debub Administration with the transportation of displaced people and their belongings to their new locations in 2008. Sub zobas of Mai-Mne and Areza are located within the Temporary Security Zone (TSZ) in zoba Debub. These villages are the most affected by severe water shortages affecting both the people and their livestock.
