On 30 November PHO installed casing in a 69-meter deep well in Mullah Khalil Village in Kohistan District of Kapisa Province. Two weeks earlier a 140-meter well was constructed for the Dormitories of Albiruni University in the same district. These are the first wells built due to financial assistance of Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, construction of two other wells has already started - one in Meer Masjidi boys` school and another in Mullah Khalil Village. The project includes altogether 8 wells, 2 water reservoirs, 1 water distribution system and trainings in hygiene and water-born diseases.

A video grab provided by Bosnia's State Court shows Swedish citizen Mirsad Bektasevic listening to his sentence in Sarajevo January 10, 2007. Bosnia's state court jailed a Swede, a Turk and a Bosnian for up to 15 years four months on Wednesday for planning a suicide attack in Europe. Bektasevic, 19, Denmark-based Turk Abdulkadir Cesur, 21, and Bosnian Bajro Ikanovic, 29, wanted to pressure Bosnia and European governments to withdraw forces from Iraq and Afghanistan, judge Mehmed Sator said.
