Polish Humanitarian Organisation started the realisation of the project: "Small animals, big value" in August 2006. Its aim was to improve the living conditions of women and their families by ensuring additional sources of income. 18 women living in the rural areas of Al-Azariya took part in trainings covering animal husbandry and dairy production. PHO purchased 3 pregnant sheep, a male sheep, feeding stuff and materials to build corrals for each of 15 participants of the project. PHO provided all the necessary assistance including marketing support (with the help of Palestinian institutions). This solution enables women to gain money while taking care after children and houseworks.

The project was realised in the cooperation with the local organization - The Shoroq Society for Women.
