The aim of the project realised by PHO in the territory of Palestinian Autonomy, was to counteract the destruction process of water piping that supplies in water the southern part of the West Bank. 1550 metres of pipelines were laid in the town of Idhna in Hebron Governorship.

Educational activities were the second part of the project. Sixty representatives of local society took part in trainings, concerning rational use of water supplies. Volunteers, after being properly trained, pass the knowledge to the inhabitants of the town.

The project was financed from the funds given by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a part of the assisstance program for the year 2006.

Mourners stand beside the grave of Michael Ben Sa'adon, who was killed in Monday's suicide bombing, during his funeral in the northern city of Acco January 30, 2007. Palestinian militant groups carried out their first suicide bombing in Israel in nine months, killing three people in the resort of Eilat on Monday.
