Equity Trustees treat children from Bangladesh to a Melbourne favourite
On Thursday 22 November, Equity Trustees generously took 10 children visiting from Bangladesh - each a beneficiary of Save the Children’s project work - to the Melbourne Aquarium. The children, who have never been out of their own region in Bangladesh before, were in Australia for five days promoting the importance of helping children such as themselves, and how Save the Children’s work has changed their lives.
The children had a wonderful experience at the Aquarium and were amazed at the aqua marine, the sea creatures and all the water! They had previously only ever seen pictures of the creatures in the National Geographic. One of the Equity Trustees employees, Zia, is originally from Bangladesh and the children had a wonderful time conversing in their native language of Bangla.
The children also received backpacks, caps and other goodies from Equity Trustees which they were very appreciative of.
Save the Children would like to thank Equity Trustees for their generosity and for making the children feel so welcome in Australia.
