Iraqi refugee families receive food parcels

More than 50 families received World Vision-funded food
parcels yesterday as part of the international relief and development agency's ongoing response to the growing Iraqi refugee crisis in Jordan.
Each food parcel contained a variety of food items including rice, beans, biscuits, sugar and oil, the parcels are designed to complement each family's diet.
World Vision's local partners believe the most urgent needs are food, health care and education for the children.
World Vision is working with local partners to give training and support to highlight the importance of health and sanitation. At Monday's distribution refugees women were shown the need to boil tap water before use, and to ensure food is not expired.
Regular World Vision food distributions, through this local organisation are planned for the coming months.
