Munkhshur (10) and Munkhnaran (8) sit
with Red Cross volunteer Khandaa

who visits the girls on a regular basis.
They live with their father in

a traditional Mongolian ger, soaked
through by a recent rare deluge of

rain and propped up by a few precarious
wooden poles. The Mongolian Red

Cross’ social care programme is
providing a lifeline to this family.
