May 20 - Top U.N. humanitarian envoy John Holmes steps up pleas to the military junta to allow foreign aid for cyclone victims.

Myanmar on Tuesday began three days of mourning for the estimated 134, 000 dead or missing as U.S. navy ships packed with aid for the survivors await the ruling generals' consent to bring it in.
