May 27 - Quake lakes form across Sichuan's disaster region as landslide rubble dams rivers.

Quake lakes have built up across Sichuan's quake zone, Taihong village collapsed into the valley, many of the houses were caught in the landslide and still lie underneath the rubble. Locals say around 70 people, mostly older residents, were swallowed up as the mountain above collapsed.
