July 15 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2220 GMT on Tuesday.

* BAQUBA - A U.S. soldier was killed by an explosive charge rigged to a house while conducting operations in Diyala province, north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

ISKANDARIA - Sunni Arab and Shi'ite gunmen from rival tribes clashed in Iskandaria, 40 km (25 miles south of Baghdad), leaving two dead, police said.

MOSUL - Militants fired mortars near a government building, wounding one civilian in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - A suicide car bomber killed eight people and wounded a policeman in an attack on a police checkpoint in eastern Mosul, the U.S. military said.

MOSUL - A suicide bomber wearing an explosives vest killed four people and wounded five in a crowded area of west Mosul, police said.

MOSUL - A parked car bomb exploded by an army patrol in Mosul, wounding six people, including two Iraqi soldiers, police said.

BAQUBA - Two suicide bombers killed 27 people and wounded 68 others at a military recruitment centre in Diyala province, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, an Iraqi security source said. The U.S. military said 20 police recruits were killed and 55 wounded.

MOSUL - The bodies of two women were found on Monday with gunshot wounds in Mosul, police said.

ISKANDARIYA - A bomb killed one member of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol unit and wounded another on Monday in Iskandariya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded two people when it targeted the convoy of a senior official in the Zayouna district of eastern Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - A roadside bomb wounded three policemen when it hit their patrol in Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said. (Compiled by Aws Qusay and Tim Cocks)
