Germany invites big powers for Iran mtg next Tues

BERLIN, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Germany has invited foreign ministers from the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council to Berlin next Tuesday to discuss Iran's nuclear programme, the foreign ministry confirmed on Wednesday.

"We are currently examining whether it will be possible for all the partners to attend the meeting," ministry spokesman Martin Jaeger told a regular news conference. (Writing by Noah Barkin)
