U-TAPAO AIR BASE, Thailand, May 12 (Reuters) - An American C-130 transport plane, the first U.S. military aid flight into cyclone-hit Myanmar, flew out of a Thai airbase on Monday.

U.S. officials hope the plane loaded with water, mosquito nets and blankets will pave the way for more flights into the reclusive army-ruled country which Washington labels an "outpost of tyranny". (Reporting by Sukree Sukplang; Editing by Darren Schuettler)
