Bus crash kills 17 in Thailand

BANGKOK, Jan 19 (Reuters) - At least 17 people were killed in northern Thailand on Friday when a coach taking teachers on a trip plunged off a mountain road down an embankment into a river, police said.

About 25 people were injured in the accident on the main road between the northern cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, Police Colonel Chartchai Neovakul said.
