Sri Lanka roadside blast targets minister's car

COLOMBO, Jan 8 (Reuters) - A roadside bomb targeting a minister's convoy exploded between the Sri Lankan capital and the island's only international airport on Tuesday, the military said, but there were no immediate details of any casualties.

The blast in the town of Ja-Ela, 12 miles (19 km) north of Colombo, was aimed at the car of Nation Building Minister D.M. Dassanayake, the military said. (Reporting by Ranga Sirilal; Editing by Simon Gardner and Alex Richardson)
