Feb 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1800 GMT on Wednesday:

*BAGHDAD - Police said they found 33 bodies around Baghdad, apparent victims of sectarian death squads.

*BAGHDAD - A sniper shot dead three security guards outside the offices of the Iraqi Media Network, which runs Iraqiya state television, in Salhiya district in central Baghdad, police said.

*BAGHDAD - Gunmen set fire to 16 houses in Baghdad's Amil district but caused no injuries, police said.

FALLUJA - A U.S. Marine was killed in action in western Anbar province on Tuesday, the U.S. military said.

*BAGHDAD - Seven U.S. servicemen were killed when a CH-46 Sea Knight transport helicopter came down 20 miles northwest of Baghdad in Anbar province, the U.S. military said. It said the cause of the crash was under investigation. Witnesses reported gunfire from the ground shortly before it crashed.

SHIRQAT - The body of a soldier was found shot dead in the town of Shirqat, 80 km (50 miles) south of Mosul, the Iraqi-U.S. Joint Coordination Centre said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol killed a policeman and wounded three others in central Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen raided a house, killing a man and his wife in Mosul, police said.

NEAR SUWAYRA - A roadside bomb exploded near a car, killing a woman and wounding two others in a village near the town of Suwayra, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A total of 30 bodies with gunshot wounds were found in different parts of Baghdad on Tuesday, police said.

FALLUJA - A mortar round landed on a house on Tuesday, killing four people, including two women, in the Sunni stronghold of Falluja, 50 km (35 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.

MAHMUDIYA - Police retrieved the bodies of three people on Tuesday in the town of Mahmudiya, 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

YUSUFIYA - Police retrieved the bodies of two people on Tuesday in the town of Yusufiya, 15 km (9 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

KUT - Iraqi Police arrested three Iranians on Tuesday for illegally crossing the border near the city of Kut, 170 km (105 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said.
