TEHRAN, March 14 (Reuters) - Three Iranian students were killed on Wednesday when their car hit an old landmine during a visit to a frontline of the country's 1980-88 war with Iraq, an Iranian news agency reported. Two people were also wounded in the blast, the ILNA news agency said, adding it happened near an army base close to the border with Iraq. Many Iranian university students visit battlefields from the war, in which around 1 million people were killed, in the weeks leading up to the Iranian New Year on March 21. The Iran-Iraq conflict witnessed trench warfare, Iraqi chemical attacks and mass Iranian frontal assaults against withering machine-gun fire reminiscent of World War One.
