GUWAHATI, India, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Separatist militants detonated a bomb in a tea plantation in northeast India on Friday, killing four policemen, an officer said. The incident took place in the remote Naharkatiya area in Assam state, where the policemen had gone to provide security to tea industry executives. "We suspect it is the work of the ULFA militants who are active in that area," a senior police officer told Reuters, referring to the United Liberation Front of Asom, a powerful group fighting for an independent homeland for Assamese people.
