Indian bus plunges into river, 40 feared killed

RANCHI, India, Dec 30 (Reuters) - At least 40 people were feared drowned on Saturday when a bus plunged off a bridge into the Ganges river in eastern India, authorities said.

The bus crashed through the railings of the bridge about 10 km (six miles) north of Patna city, capital of Bihar state, said Awdhesh Kumar, a senior government official.
