Boat capsize kills 24 in flood-hit eastern India

PATNA, India, Oct 22 (Reuters) - At least 24 people drowned on Wednesday when a boat capsized as it crossed the river Ganges in eastern India, police said.

They said 35 people were on board the boat when it overturned in flood-hit Bihar state. Among the dead were 23 women farm workers. Six people were missing. (Writing by
