COX'S BAZAR, Bangladesh, Nov 25 (Reuters) - At least one man was dead and 50 people were missing after a boat with 200 aboard sank in the Bay of Bengal, police said on Sunday.

A body was recovered from the Bay after a search had been launched for the missing. Nearly 150 others swam to safety after the boat capsized due to overloading.

The victims, mostly fishermen and labourers, were travelling to Teknaf coast from Cox's Bazar aboard the large wooden boat. (Reporting by Mohammad Nurul Islam; writing by Nizam Ahmed; editing by Jerry Norton)
