DHAKA, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Mutinous members of a Bangladesh paramilitary unit have started laying down their arms, a government minister told reporters.

Earlier the troops accepted an amnesty offered by the government, but refused to hand their weapons to the army after fighting over a pay dispute killed at least five people on Wednesday.

"They (mutinous troops) have started laying down their arms," State Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak told reporters. (Reporting by Nizam Ahmed)
