Lolita Florentia, 60, a Filipina farmer who has six children, wipes her tears after talking to members of the media in front of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Quezon city, suburban Manila March 2, 2007. Florentia and 21 other farmers, who are to be awarded land under a land reform law, shaved their heads last week and are staging a hunger strike for the ninth day in front of the DAR office to press the government to allow them to return to a sugarcane plantation in central Philippines after they had been driven off their land by a landowner who had refused to honour the law.
