FEWS NET Warning Alert for Zimbabwe, published Apr 26 2007

A post-harvest staple cereal gap of 40 to 50 percent is forecast due to drought conditions in the south and input shortages in the north. Significant food imports will be necessary. High food prices and rampant inflation will increase food insecurity at least through early 2008.

Additional information will be available shortly.
