-- Vietnam has not been able to identify which pig stock in which region has contracted Streptococcus suis bacteria, To Long Thanh, Deputy Director of the Central Veterinary Diagnosis Centre, said. The bacteria has infected dozens of people, two of whom have died.

-- National carrier Vietnam Airlines said it would cut the fares on domestic flights by between 17 percent and 52 percent for tickets sold during the first 20 days of August.
