-- The economy was stable over the past 11 months despite losses caused by flooding and disease in November, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said at a cabinet meeting.

-- The government said floods and storms in the past month killed 159 people in the central region, 10 others were missing and 2.63 million people were affected as 4,700 houses collapsed and property damage was nearly 5.7 trillion dong ($353 million).
