FINANCIAL NEWS:

LAO DONG

-- Saigon-Hanoi Bank said it would list another 150 million shares next month, raising concern over dilution on the Hanoi Stock Exchange <.HNXI>.

-- The Vietnamese dong was expected to fall to 18,500 dong per dollar this year and the central bank might further ease its foreign exchange policy, said Vo Tri Thanh, deputy head of the Central Economic Management and Research Institute.

DAU TU CHUNG KHOAN

-- State oil group Petrovietnam would list a subsidiary on a foreign stock exchange early next year if market conditions are favourable, Deputy Chief Executive Nguyen Ngoc Su said.

-- Hanoi-based Military Bank said it had met 70 percent of its annual profit target in the first five months of this year and started paying a 9 percent dividend from last Monday.

THOI BAO KINH TE VIETNAM

-- The central bank said interest rates on both dong and dollar deposits eased last week. Joint stock banks offered dong deposits at an average 8.14 percent, 0.3 percentage point down from the previous week.

-- Vietnam's non-life insurance industry is expected to grow nearly 25 percent a year between now and 2013 thanks to strongly increasing demand for motor vehicle, property and health insurance, market research firm Research and Consultancy Outsourcing Services said in a study.

HANOI MOI

-- Each person in Vietnam is allowed to own three pre-paid SIM cards for mobile phones, the Information and Communications Ministry said in a circular, with effect from August 1, 2009.

LAO DONG

-- The total deposits of Hanoi-based banks at the end of June rose 10.67 percent from the end of 2008, the city's statistics department, said without giving a value.
