Jan 14 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 0830 GMT on Sunday:

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb killed a person and wounded six near al-Tayaran Square in central Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

MOSUL - The bodies of nine people, with gunshot wounds, were brought to the morgue in the northern city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, a source in the morgue said.

MOSUL - Several mortar rounds landed on a residential district, wounding five people in Mosul, police said.

ISKANDARIYA - Gunmen attacked a private factory and killed three workers and wounded another on Saturday night in the town of Iskandariya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

OTHER DEVELOPMENTS

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military said on Sunday that five Iranians held by its troops in Iraq are linked to Revolutionary Guards who are arming and funding Iraqi militants but Tehran called them diplomats and demanded they be released.
