Car bomb blast in Iraq's northern Kurdistan - TV

ARBIL, Iraq, May 9 (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded on Wednesday in the northern Iraqi city of Arbil, capital of the autonomous Kurdistan region, Iraqiya state television reported.

Car bombs are rare in the Kurdish region, which has been spared much of the violence engulfing other parts of Iraq.
