July 28 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1330 GMT on Monday.

BAGHDAD - Three female suicide bombers killed 28 people and wounded 92 in Baghdad as Shi'ite pilgrims flooded into the Iraqi capital for a major religious event, police said.

KIRKUK - A suicide bomber killed 22 people and wounded 150 in the northern oil city of Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, during a demonstration against Iraq's provincial elections law, security and health officials said.

MOSUL - Four insurgents were killed and 58 suspected al Qaeda members were detained on Sunday during operations in northern Iraq, the U.S. military said. Four Iraqi soldiers were killed by small arms fire in the operations, it added.

MOSUL - Gunmen shot a woman dead in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen killed a civilian when they opened fire in centre Mosul, police said.

MOSUL - The body of a woman bearing gunshot wounds was found in western Mosul, police said.

LATIFIYA - A member of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol unit was killed in a clash with militants on Sunday, police said.

MUSSAYAB - The body of a handcuffed woman with a gunshot wound to the chest was pulled from the Euphrates river near Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

SAMARRA - Eight insurgents were arrested on Sunday in a joint operation by Iraqi police and members of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol group, a security official said.
