ISLAMABAD, July 11 (Reuters) - Pakistani security forces found 73 bodies in a mosque complex on Wednesday a day after commandos stormed it in a battle with militants, a military spokesman said.

Previously, the military had estimated more than 50 militants were killed when troops stormed Islamabad's Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque, after a week-long standoff with hardline clerics and their militants supporters.

Supporters of opposition Pakistan People's Party chant slogans during a protest rally against recent surge of violence in Multan July 19, 2007. Two suicide bomb attacks killed at least 37 people in Pakistan on Thursday, as a militant backlash intensified following the army's storming of radical mosque in Islamabad earlier this month.
