HERAT, Afghanistan, April 17 (Reuters) - A blast in an Afghan school compound killed two students on Tuesday in the western city of Herat, officials and witnesses said.

Four teenaged students were wounded in the explosion which happened during a break at the school in the heart of the city.

Police said they suspected the explosives were planted in a student's bag. There was no claim of responsibility.
